Social Media Behind the Firewall

More and more clients are coming to us, from the marketing function, with requests to find out about how social media can help them. However, there is sometimes a tension between the tools marketing wants to utilise and what IT departments will permit behind their firewalls – as today’s Dilbert points out in typically satirical fashion.

I’ve written before about the irony of banning social media at work and how the use of social media, far from being a bane on productivity, may actually enhance productivity.
