Web 2.0 – The Web is Us/ing Us

Mark Evans points us to this amazing video that simplifies and explains the Web 2.0 phenomonem in under five minutes.

Each time we forge a link we teach it an idea.

Digital text is no longer just linking information. Hypertext is no longer just linking information. The Web is no longer just linking information.

The Web is linking information. Web 2.0 is linking people…

We’ll need to rethink a few things….

  • Copyright
  • Authorship
  • Identity
  • Ethics
  • Aesthetics
  • Rhetorics
  • Governance
  • Privacy
  • Commerce
  • Love
  • Family
  • Ourselves

Really, truly great stuff and exactly why I’m so excited by the new Internet.

**UPDATE – The video has been viewed more than 1 million times and now John Battelle has done an interview with its creator, Michael  Wesch.**
